Tilt Wall Instructions
STEP 1 Unroll and secure DuPont
™

WRB over the wall panel. Leave enough lap to
ensure a minimum 6” overlap of the DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
WRB on all sides except top of the wall.

WRB seal with adjacent sides.
When taping, make sure the stud marks printed
on the DuPont

WRB line up with the
first stud and that the roll is plumb.
STEP 2 When starting a wall section, fold the
beginningsideapovertheverticalsideofthe
stud and secure. Trim off excess. Ensure that
thebottomapoverhangsenoughsothat,
when the wall is tilted upright, it overlaps the
sill plate.
STEP 3 As each wall section is raised,
ensurethatthebottomapsoverlapthesill
plateandthatthesideapsareonthe
exterior of the house.
STEP 4Fastenthesideapsandsecurethe
bottomaptothefoundation.Formaximumair
leakage reduction (when installing as an air
barrier), seal wrap at the bottom of the wall with
DuPont
™
Residential Sealant, DuPont
™
Commercial Sealant, or recommended sealant,
DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
Tape, DuPont
™
StraightFlash
™
or
DuPont
™
Flashing Tape.
STEP 5 All vertical seams shall be taped with DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
Tape. When installing
as an air barrier, also tape all horizontal seams. Taping all vertical and horizontal seams,
and taping or sealing all terminations (including, but not limited to, roof-wall interfaces
and sill plates) is required when installing DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
building wraps as air
barriers. Use 3” DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
Tape when taping horizontal laps of DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
StuccoWrap
®
and DuPont
™
Tyvek
®
DrainWrap
™
. Use DuPont
